Susan Justice

Qigong with Susan Justice

Thursdays at 9:30am

PLEASE BE SURE TO PRE-REGISTER FOR QIGONG AS SPACE IS LIMITED.

Qigong ("Qi or Chi means energy or spiritual, gong means practice") is a moving meditation that applies ancient wisdom, modern science and the mind's creative power to transform our lives from dis-ease to health and wellness. It is a direct and powerful way to tap into the infinite source of energy, to embody the energy and use it to transform our physical and psychological conditions for a better, more balanced life. With the pure energy we can effectively cultivate love, wisdom, compassion and harmony for the highest healing. With a direct link between our consciousness and the source of all creation, we can fulfill our highest potential for creativity, healing, peace, service and wisdom.

Susan Justice is a pioneer in the healing arts and energy medicine. In 1990 she founded the Spiritual Hypnotherapy Center and has been serving clients ever since. Four years ago she developed a chronic pain condition that lead her to Qigong. And two years ago she began practicing and studying Wisdom Healing Qigong with her teacher, Master Mingtong Gu. Eventually it was discovered that a tumor in her lung was causing the pain. With the support and practice of Qigong, Susan has realized perfect health and joy. She is currently in the teacher/healer training. It is with great joy that she is offering qigong classes and healings. Susan has a healing presence that inspires and radiates the love, gratitude and connection that she embodies as a result of her dedicated practice. She can be reached by phone: 415-450-8777 or by email: onespirithealing@gmail.com.

Susan Audrey

Embodying the Power of Our Dreams

Special talk presented by Susan Audrey, certified hypnotherapist and dreamwork practitioner

Our nighttime dreams are like e-mails from our soul. Are you opening yours?

Come learn how to decipher the important messages your unconscious mind presents to you every night. These valuable teachings come in the form of images in our dreamscapes and can inform us about our desires, our well-being, and how to better navigate our waking lives.

Join Susan Audrey, a certified hypnotherapist and dreamwork practitioner for this special talk with a focus on using our dreams’ teachings to help us during a life transition and to find more meaning in our lives. It is often during transitional—and transformative—times that we have our most potent dreams, full of wisdom and guidance to help us adapt to and find peace in our new situation.

Susan will share how to remember your dreams and keep a dream journal, how to work with your dreams yourself, the benefits of working with a dreamwork practitioner, and about the magic that happens in the form of synchronicities when you join a dreamwork circle as the wisdom of one dreamer brings forth teachings that promote the healing and well being of the entire group.

Attendees will go home with a dream worksheet for use in working with one’s own dreams as well as inspiration for tapping into the “inner knowing” our dreams provide each night for our use every day.

Susan Audrey, CHT, uses an embodied approach to dreamwork in which dreamers are gently guided in “meeting” their dream images, an approach that allows the dream’s teachings to unfold organically and maintain their potency. Click here to bring up her bio.

(A special discount will be available to talk attendees who sign up that evening to join an upcoming Dreamwork Circle for Women in Transition in June.)

Learn to Connect With Nature and Vitalize Your Being Through Breath

with Jacob Barnett

As we allow our awareness to guide us, our existence as Nature becomes apparent. Through awareness of our breathing, we deepen our experience of ourselves as Nature; we receive vitality, inspiration and health. With each breath, we exchange our energy with the subtle current of energy (Chi) flowing around and through us; both we and the River are strengthened. Our awareness and practice of this circulation brings us into greater harmony with this subtle River of Chi. The Ancients suggest it is this Harmony that is responsible for our health and wellbeing on Earth.

This evening’s presentation will benefit everyone who breathes. We will remind ourselves of abdominal breathing and experience how this simple practice can change our energetic frequency and place us in a relaxed, regenerative, parasympathetic state of being. We will learn a series of five easy breathing movements to enhance circulation and cultivate Chi within our bodies. There will be an opportunity to share our experience of this practice. Everyone is encouraged to bring a journal to record their awareness prior to beginning this practice and in the days, weeks and months that follow. Everyone will leave this event with a set of breathing exercises that can be practiced anywhere, any time, to increase well being.

Ayurvedic Medicine:
Common Sense Health Care

with Dr. Crotta, Ph.D

Gain the knowledge necessary to take charge of your own health in a natural way by uderstanding the effects of foods, lifestyle, daily routine, exercise, and mental and emotional factors on your health. The ancient system of Ayurveda gives us many simple tools to stimulate our body's innate healing abilities.

Dr. Crotta is offering six free lectures on the following health topics. Each talk is independent of the others. Attendance is not required for all talks.

Talk #1: The Science of Good Health

This is a general overview of the meaning of health according to the ancient science of Ayurveda. In this lecture, Dr. Crotta will emphasize important aspects that cause wear and tear on our physiology and ultimately destroy health and cause disease. She will also point out different ways of improving our body's innate ability and talk about the importance of Consciousness as the basis of developing good health.

"The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease." Thomas Edison.

Talk #2: Good Digestion is the Basis of Good Health

"We are what we eat" is a common saying. Ayurvedic science extends this saying to "We are what we digest". If we do not digest food properly, we create an imbalance. This lecture demonstrates how everybody has a different digestive strength, and how to eat according to this digestive strength. It also enumerates the various conditions that can naturally change our digestive strength and those that harm our digestive system.

Talk #3: Utilizing the Cycles of Nature to Improve Health

Our physiology and the environment have many natural cycles and rhythms. A routine in according with nature enlists the support of nature, helps to synchronize a person's biological clock, prevents premature aging, aids digestion, absorption and assimilation, and generates self-esteem, peace, happiness and longevity. Disregarding these natural cycles increases the wear and tear on the mind/body system.

Talk #4: The Six Steps of Prevention

"An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". According to Ayurvedic science, a disease process always goes through six steps. In this lecture, Dr. Crotta will discuss how any small imbalance can grow into a disease if we don't take preventive measures. At each step there are signals from our body warning us. Understanding those signals, what to do to correct the imbalance and ow to prevent the next step in the disease process is the goal of this lecture.

Talk #5: Food is Your Best Medicine

Hippocrates proclaimed: "He who does not know food... how can he understand the diseases of man?" Food is essential to life; it is fundamental in determining health or disease. However, modern medicine does not include the study of food; therefore it is rarely used as a treatment. In Ayurvedic medicine, food is always one of the first avenues to be pursued in the healing process. Everybody should know the impact of food on their health.
